Background

As President and Vice President of Bethany Lutheran Church and School, Vacaville, CA, Mr. Johnston managed the development of a new $7.5 Million school campus completed in August 2006. Over an eight year period, oversaw site selection, negotiated a Disposition and Development Agreement with the Vacaville Redevelopment Agency, completed financial planning and loan packaging, lead a fundraising drive, and oversaw the project approval process, design consultant team, and contractor selection, acted as the owners rep during construction.

Project Management Skills Needed for Complex Events

The project management skills required to complete a development project directly relate to the ability to deliver outstanding special events.
